There are events that offer information. And there are events that offer experience.
In July, we have the rare opportunity to see in action a team internationally recognized for the technical refinement, emotional depth, and artistic expressiveness of their work. It is not just a workshop, but an encounter with a mature vision of rope art, built at the intersection of tradition, aesthetics, and human connection.
The main guest, Kirigami, is one of the most highly regarded European practitioners of Japanese-style Kinbaku. With an international career that began in 2011 and appearances at prestigious events such as Bound London and Shibari Day Roma, Kirigami has built his reputation through respect for Japanese tradition, attention to detail, and the ability to transform rope into a language of dialogue and expression.
His journey includes years of study in traditional Japanese disciplines, teaching activity at the School of Rope in Milan, editorial and photographic collaborations of international scope and, more recently, the exceptional invitation to take part in the photographic project Kinbaku Sajiki by master Sugiura Norio, a recognition granted for the first time to an artist who does not live in Japan.
Together with Marta Tenshiko , Kirigami will offer participants the opportunity to observe and explore an approach in which technique, presence, emotion, and aesthetics intertwine in an authentic experience.

Recommended level and preparation
The workshop is dedicated to participants who already have basic knowledge and practical experience in bondage, shibari, or kinbaku.
To fully benefit from the experience offered by Kirigami and Marta Tenshiko, participants should be familiar with:
• fundamental ties (single column and double column tie);
• creating a functional chest harness / Takate Kote;
• constructing a hip harness;
• the basic principles of safety, anatomy, and risk management associated with rope practice;
• minimum experience with floorwork and a basic understanding of simple suspensions.
This workshop is not designed as an introductory course. Its purpose is to explore the style, philosophy, and working methodology developed by Kirigami and Marta Tenshiko, starting from an already existing technical foundation.
For those who wish to participate but feel they do not yet have the necessary level, Kasta Concept offers the possibility of dedicated preparation sessions until the date of the event.
Participants who choose this preparation program and reserve their workshop place by paying a 50% deposit of the participation fee will receive the necessary support to reach the minimum recommended level and make the most of the two days of study.
Bookings and preparation
Workshop places are limited to a maximum of 40 participants present at the venue.
The number of Rigger+rope-bunny couples who can join the workshop sessions - 12 couples
Participation is as a Rigger–Model couple, in order to ensure optimal working conditions and access to suspension points.
The participation fee is 550 LEI / couple / session.
The participation fee + Kasta Concept courses is 670 LEI / couple / session. (550+120)
If you wish to participate but feel that you are still missing certain technical elements, do not let this stop you. Kasta Concept will organize dedicated preparation sessions until the date of the event for participants wishing to strengthen their basic knowledge in bondage, shibari, and kinbaku.

Kasta Concept preparation package
For participants who wish to attend the workshop led by Kirigami & Marta Tenshiko but feel they need to strengthen certain fundamental skills, Kasta Concept provides a dedicated preparation program.
These sessions are designed to align participants' level of knowledge and ensure they acquire the technical and safety elements needed to take part in the workshop under optimal conditions.
The preparation program will cover:
• fundamental ties (single column and double column);
• Takate Kote and the basic structures of the chest harness;
• hip harness and support systems;
• essential notions of safety, anatomy, and risk management;
• principles of communication and working within the Rigger–Model couple.
Participation fees:
• Workshop Kirigami & Marta Tenshiko: 550 lei / couple / session;
• Workshop + Kasta Concept Preparation Program package: 670 lei/ couple.
The purpose of this program is not only to acquire technical skills, but also to create a framework that allows participants to make the most of the experience and knowledge shared by our guests.

The WORKSHOP sessions will take place in a venue with a maximum capacity of 40 people.
There are criteria for acceptance into these sessions. We will list these criteria below and why they are necessary :
1 - you can only participate as a rigger - model couple in order to reserve your suspension point. Technically, a Rigger needs a model to form a functional unit.
If you do not have a model and vice versa, a Rigger, please get in touch with us .
2 - It is necessary to have intermediate knowledge of shibari/bondage. This knowledge refers to :
the ability to tie the fundamental knots - single and double column
the ability to fluently tie a chest harness - takategote- for terminology you will soon have an external reference
the ability to build a harness system for the pelvis - hip harness.
basic knowledge of the bone structure of the human body, skeletal musculature - hands, arms, torso, lower limbs, and of the vascular and neural structures most frequently involved in bondage/shibari structures
a strong motivation for this art. We cannot assess this parameter and it is strictly your responsibility. Do not forget that our guests are not coming to teach us the bondage ''technology'', but to share their vast and truly unique experience in this art. They do not expect us to copy, but to understand the phenomenon for which they sacrifice their personal time in order to live alongside other people who feel the same way.

of two workshop sessions, led by the master couple, followed by shibari art demonstrations, presented by Kirigami and

Kirigami and Tenshiko are partners both in rope and in life.
They have been teaching and performing across Europe since 2012. In 2016, they founded School of Rope Milano, where they host weekly classes in traditional Japanese rope bondage for local students as well as international guests.
Their style is deeply rooted in classical Japanese Kinbaku, refined over the years through stage performances, private sessions, and photographic work. Alongside rope, their artistic path has been strongly influenced by the study of traditional Japanese arts — particularly the tea ceremony — which they continue to explore as part of their personal and creative development.
In recent years, their work has expanded beyond Europe. In 2023, they were invited to teach in Latin America and Australia, and began collaborating with Sugiura Norio Sensei on international workshops held in both Europe and Japan, as well as on a series of editorial projects, online and in print.
In 2025, Kirigami became the first non-resident of Japan to be invited to tie for Kinbaku Sajiki, the iconic photographic series curated by Sugiura Norio.
Workshop
We will approach traditional semenawa from a practical and theoretical point of view, understanding the iconic patterns of the style, and the philosophy behind them.
The Tk
We will analyze a stemless gote, understanding its structure and historical development. The differences with an original Japanese TK will be described both from a technical and philosophical point of view.
Basic patterns
Some iconic patterns will be taught and put in use. Both floorwork and simple suspensions will be part of the schedule.
Each basic pattern will be used to teach a skill that can be carried over and used in several other ties.
Variations
Depending on the level of participants, some basic ties will be variated and transformed into new shapes. Variations are didactically skill-oriented, and participants will improve rope and body handling while experimenting with new ties.
